How to get here:
If you want to come to Rétimajor from Budapest, it is a convenient hour and a half drive. The nearest town is Sáregres, 2km away. We are located between the two highways, M6 and M7, with both about 40km distant. If you choose to travel by train, you have to board the one going on the Budapest-Pécs line, and get off at Rétszilas railway station. From there, it's a mere 20minutes walk to reach Rétimajor center.

Fishing Center, Örspuszta:
Aranyponty's total area is about 800 hectares, of which 700 hectares are covered with water; most of that is under planned, large-scale fisheries management. Örspuszta Fishing Center is situated on the north-west side of the lake-system, close to the town of Sárbogárd. Here, over 60 hectares of water surface are available for fishermen in 3 lakes. One of these lakes is especially perfect for big fish lovers, where we encourage anglers to try for the biggest fish possible.

Rétimajor:
Exactly 5km away from Örspuszta is Rétimajor center that can be reached on our internal paved road by bike or - for the more adventurous - on foot. On the way you may enjoy the rich flora and fauna of the lake system. It is not by accident that Rétimajor is called a four-season destination, because each season promises something extraordinary, each with its unique beauty and charm. In the spring the lively concert by the local birdlife; in the summer the thousand wonders of the water-world; colorful nature painted autumn; and the quiet solitude and sleepy-looking reed of winter. It's a perfect destination for those wanting to escape the hustle and noise of the city.

Lotus garden:
We also have a unique attraction, our lotus garden. It's special to our heart because this plant cannot be found anywhere else in the country in the open. We are able to ensure its survival because of the hot water springs that ensure that the lake never freezes over, not even in the coldest, harshest winter.

Winter fishing:
In connection with with thermal water and winter, we have excellent opportunities for anglers as well, namely winter fishing on our Warm-Water Lake. This lake is in a similar situation as the lotus garden; we keep it warm throughout winter with thermal water. Thanks to this small, warm lake, fishermen may enjoy their hobby year-round at Aranyponty; when Örspuszta Fishing Center closes for the winter, this lake opens its gates the very next day, in Rétimajor.

Fishing Museum:
For those who want to enjoy something more than "just" nature, and are open for a little cultural experience, we recommend Aranyponty Fishing Museum. The largest thematic exhibition in the country is located in the center of Rétimajor. It presents a look into an ancient profession with tools used centuries ago, equipment and photos showing a now extinct way of life. The walls are adorned with László Kunkovács, Kossuth-prize winning ethnographer's nearly sixty large, black-white photographs, with focus on the eternal struggle between nature and mankind.

Restaurant:
After enjoying the great features of Aranyponty, the miracles of nature, fishing and cultural opportunities, it may be time to relish some gastronomic wonders. In Rétimajor, Aranyponty Restaurant is well-known for its fish soup and fish chips. Every weekend from morning til night the tables are full, and booking ahead of time is strongly recommended, for so many want to enjoy a good meal with us. Focus is on fish of course, from carp to catfish, from pike-perch to trout, in the most varied forms. In the summer our terrace, in the winter our cozy wine cellar awaits families, and large gatheringsas well.

Relaxation:
There are three different options for accomodation in Rétimajor. The B&B is usually preferred by those travelling alone or as couples, with its 7 en-suite bedrooms. Lakeside Guesthouse might be a bit smaller with its 5 bedrooms, but its a separate building, right on the shore of Torzsokos Lake, with a well-eqipped kitchen, large living room and direct access to fishing opportunities right outside the door. This house is usually preferred by family and friendly gatherings.

Not far from here is Lollipop Island. This is the ideal destination for larger communities and kids' camps; it has 9 en-suite bedrooms with 30 beds total. It is perfect to host kids'- and sport camps, team building weekends, fishing competitions, and company events.

Wellness:
After exploring the area, enjoyed the museum and had a lovely lunch, it's time to top the day off with some nice relaxation in the wellness center. There are two pools; the swimming pool is 150cm deep and 27 degree Celsius warm with flowing water on the side so guests may enjoy swimming. The jacuzzi, of course, is smaller with its depth of 80cm, but it's also a lot warmer: 36 degree Celsius.

There are two saunas as well; one infra and one traditional, Finnish sauna. In the winter cold it is a great feeling to warm up in the intense heat, and let our muscles loosen up after a long day.

Opening hours:
It is important to note, that Rétimajor awaits guests all-year-round. We are open on school breaks and most holidays as well. Accomodation is always available as is fishing.
